After a few days in Singapore we are now in Jakarta,

Indonesia. We have heard more than enough about

the terrible traffic here and the shore excursions did

not excite me. There was a shuttle bus available but a

45 to 60 minute ride over 6 miles to a city overflowing

with people-no.

We have booked shore excursions in two ports but may

not go ashore at others. We decided to skip looking for

the komodo dragon. It can be very hot and it was a lot of

money just to hope you see this “wild” animal.

A couple of the ports may be small seaports and we may

decide to go ashore;
